8th Ave Mall

Clearwater Pedestrian friendly street mall

Part of the planning we pushed for with the Developer of Clearwater community, was to develop a business district similar to Quarry Park in Calgary and a main pedestrian friendly street allowing shopping, restaurants, breweries, and pubs taking design ideas from 8th Ave Mall in Calgary. Ultimately creating a pedestrian friendly, destination location for entertainment, restaurants and retail in Chestermere. 

Financial Benefits to residents - This Pedestrian friendly street mall would bring approx.  $1.5M commercial tax annuity every year. 

Of course the win of having more commercial tax to rebalance our taxes paid by residents is a great option. Though the unique benefit of this is the improvement in our culture, restaurants, dining, shopping, pubs and gathering spaces.
