Claim: McIver claimed Councilor Foat breached MGA s.174(1)(f) voting rules.
Truth: C. Foat did not. MGA S. 184 (b) Public Hearing allow councillors to vote on bylaws, if they missed parts of the Public Hearing. McIver should know the MGA, thus he has intentionally mislead the public and a significant breach of ethics.
Evidence: MGA s. 184- When a public hearing on a proposed bylaw or resolution is held, a councillor. (b) may abstain from voting on the bylaw or resolution if the
councillor was only absent from a part of the public hearing.
Verdict: C. Foat is allowed to vote on the bylaw, after a public hearing that he attended part of. Minister McIver, has intentionally mislead the public, and misquoted the MGA, breaching his professional ethics.
