Council passed a motion in late 2021 for Administration to do a forensic Audit on past projects and not to shred any documents. The Mayor caught this truck, one early morning, attempting to shred 200 boxes of files and stopped it. The person who ordered the shredding was the returning officer involved in the election complaint improper conduct complaint with CAO Morton and was then his assistant after the election. Seems improper.

It was revealed a year later, that a rogue staff member had gone into the file boxes, before they were reviewed and removed the sensitive files.
